Now Booking Mini-Sessions for April 11th

Spring is in the air (slowly but surely) and to celebrate I am offering mini-session on Saturday, April 11th from 9-11am (the day before Easter). Mini-sessions are a great way to get updated pictures of your children and family without spending a lot of money. (Due to the limited time frames, mini sessions will be restricted to immediate family groups or smaller.)

Each mini session is 25 minutes long and you will receive a cd of your hand-edited photos and a copyright release to those images. The cost for a mini session is $30 and sessions will be taking place downtown SLC.

I am only offering 4 time slots, so if you'd like to book a mini-session contact me right away!

ALL SESSIONS ARE NOW BOOKED - watch for mini-sessions down the road or contact me to schedule a full session.

The new logo is here!

Welcome to the new Holly Hyde Photography blog! I promise it's still me blogging, but with a fresh new look! I've been wanting to do a major overhaul on my blog for far too long, but the real inspiration came when I collaborated with my amazingly talented sister-in-law (Melody Hyde) and asked her to create a new logo for my business. She did such a great job and I couldn't be happier with it! Clean, contemporary, classic! What more could a girl want?

I stayed up until what is now 4 am to get everything programmed and ready to go, but it was worth it! My favorite new feature is the menu tab up top. Now you can find helpful information and look through different sessions by subject. So feel free to take a minute and check things out.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I am currently taking bookings for Senior Portraits. $50 for the entire senior session and I only have a few slots left, so contact me right away if you'd like to book a session for your graduate!

Ciao Bella Designs

Sometime ago I had the chance to do a photo shoot with the Wall family. Lindsay Wall designs custom invitations and does such an incredible job! She did Ryan and Whitney's wedding invitations and is currently designing Nicole and Aaron's wedding invitations. Lindsay does everything from baby announcements to Christmas cards, and has even started doing business cards. If you're looking for some original and unique custom invitations go check out Ciao Bella Designs!

Self-Portrait

I am part of a photography group that does weekly homework assignments. This week our rather tricky assignment was to take some self-portraits. I thought I'd share one of my favorites:

My Favorite Subjects

I love photographing all kinds of events and people, but the subject that will always be my favorite are kids. It was kids (especially my twin boys) that started me into the photography business. To me, the most important aspect of any photograph is personality and emotion. While many adults try to hide from the photographer (especially at a wedding dinner like this one) this little guy had an entirely different reaction when I pointed the camera in his direction!

Now that's personality!
